Meet "Samuel Arinze" - Who Always Wanted To Be a Civil Engineer as a Child.

The MeeteverydayPeople Team had an exclusive interview with this Young, Vibrant and Intelligent Engineer who was part of the Civil Engineering Team that constructed the Adelabu/Ogunlana Drive in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.

Samuel Arinze is a university graduate who studied Civil Engineering at the University of Benin, Nigeria. He graduated in 2011 and served his fatherland in 2012/2013. He  mentioned how difficult it was to graduate with a 2:1 from his department in school. It was a challenging experience in his 5 years at the university of Benin. " There was a course that the exam takes 11 hours to write and less than half of the class never gets to finish." , he said with a smile on his face.

Samuel is a native of Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria. He is from a family of five - Mr and Mrs(Late) Arinze and his two beautiful sisters, Awele (Married) and Sandra Arinze. "I am also married to a beautiful woman, Chinenye who is the love of my life, my priceless crown, my Jewel of inestimable value. She makes me feel like the luckiest man in the world. We got married in 2017 and it has been awesome ever since. "

"Growing up as a child, I had always wanted to be a Civil Engineer. I remember always playing with my friends and we will construct structures with sands, empty containers and carton boxes. I had mine always excellently done. I would also help them to build theirs as well. "




After his National Youth Service Corps, he worked with an indigenous Nigerian company known as Plycon Nigeria Limited established in 2003. "We offered quality construction and civil engineering services. With a diverse team that I worked with and a combined industry experience spanning six decades, Plycon Limited is rapidly developing into a 'hallmark of quality and integrity' within the civil Engineering industry of Nigeria" He started his career with Plycon as a Graduate Trainee Civil Engineer where he developed his On-site skills on the field. After few years of hard work, he was given the opportunity to handle major projects of which one of it was the road construction at the Adelabu/Ogunlana Drive in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.


He is currently the Project Lead Engineer for Tersus Limited, an indigenous company that offers design, construction, and Engineering services in the areas of infrastructure and steel fabrication. Tersus was founded in 2013 with a vision to be the best indigenous construction company in Nigeria.
