Early Life and Education
Born to parents who were both school teachers, Amusan is the youngest of three children. She attended Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School in Ijebu Ode, where her athletic prowess began to shine. Her journey in athletics took her to the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), where she not only excelled on the track but also earned a Master of Arts degree in Leadership Studies and Sports Management in May 2023.

Amusan's early promise in athletics was evident when she won a silver medal in the 200 metres at the 2013 African Youth Championships held in Warri.
